The Spirituality of Adolescence
Friday 14 June 2019
9:00 – 17:00
Many of us may remember adolescence as a somewhat tumultuous time when we felt that adults didn’t understand us and that we knew it all. As parents, we may start to understand a little more of the other side of the coin. Understanding adolescence from the spiritual point of view can help us enormously both in healing our own past and in helping us deal with adolescents who are themselves trying to negotiate this difficult time with potentially many more distractions and temptations than we had. So whether you’re a parent, a teacher, someone who works with young people, or simply someone who looks on aghast at what seems to happen to our children, this workshop can bring you new helpful insights and healing so we can help guide our adolescents into healthy adulthood.
The Spirituality of Addiction
Friday 27 September 2019
9:00 – 17:00
Addiction is almost invariably accompanied by guilt and shame that drive and complicate the addictive cycle. Understanding the spiritual aspects that result in addictive behaviour can help us heal the past and slow down or eliminate this destructive cycle so we can take command of our lives, release ourselves from addiction and be free to make healthier choices. Whether you suffer from addiction – or several – or are a family member or friend of someone with an addiction, or indeed work with sufferers, these insights can be useful to help you be more constructive in coping with this difficult situation and heal the past that binds us. There can be healthy, productive life after addiction and this may give you the turning point you need.
